A signed artist’s proof etching by American artist, Dorothy Hunter (b.1929), who is best known for her abstract impressionist style, often creating paintings inspired by past memories and personal experiences throughout her life. This etching depicts a simple, yet abstract design that appears to have a textured surface with various ripples and creases throughout, which features a burnt orange streak from the lower left corner up to the upper right corner with dark brown coloring on either side. This piece is pencil signed by the artist in lower right margin with ’artist’s proof’ written to the lower left. The print has a single white mat and is housed behind plexiglass in a simple metal frame with a wire for hanging to the verso.
