Collection of Caroline Williams Historic Cincinnati Prints

An impressive collection of offset lithograph prints by well-listed Cincinnati printmaker Caroline Williams (1908 – 1988). Each print is presumed to be gifted by the Fifth Third Union Trust Co. and Williams has hand-signed one in black ink to to lower margin and it depicts the Tyler Davidson Fountain, the centerpiece of downtown Cincinnati’s fountain square. The others remain unsigned by the artist. Williams was born in Covington, KY which influenced the artists’ prolific career having produced many paper works to feature ‘The Queen City’ and its wealth of natural, historical and cultural landmarks and their influence surrounding the vast growth and development of alongside the banks of the mighty Ohio River throughout the late 19th and 20th centuries.
