Three Vintage Military Bayonets
Item Details
A grouping of three vintage military knife bayonets. The first is a US M5-A1 bayonet with an M8-A1 sheath, issued in 1953 late in the Korean War for the M1 Garand rifle. The second is a Yugoslav M48 bayonet with a steel sheath, marked with the number 44 and an arch of Cyrillic lettering. The ‘44’ is not a date mark as is sometimes assumed, but designates a certain arms factory; the bayonet itself is post-war. The third piece is an unmarked knife bayonet from circa the first half of the 20th century.
