An original vintage oil painting on canvas by 20th century Cincinnati artist Estelle Laibson, titled They Walk Away. The painting depicts an abstracted composition made of blurred fields of warm red, pink, yellow, and lavender paint overlayed with aggressive strokes of deep purple. The painting is unsigned, but a gallery tag attached to the verso gives the artist’s name and contact information and the piece’s title. The painting is presented in a wooden slat-style frame with pale gray finish and a hanging wire. Laibson generally creates figural work, making this abstract piece a unique part of her body of work. - a few areas of paint loss to lower edge, though they blend into abstracted composition well. Scattered accretion to upper edge of painting. Scratching across frame.
