1930s "New Era" Potato Chip Canister

Item Details

A vintage potato chip canister manufactured by Nicolay-Dancey Inc., now Frito-Lay, circa 1930s. The advertising copy on this pre-World War II canister reads “A healthy food on the alkaline side…The New Era of Scientifically Processed Potato Chips”. The tin is a pale yellow with black Art Deco silhouette figures and stylized fonts in red and black.

Condition

Wear and scratches throughout, age consistent.
