S. Kirk & Son Sterling Silver "Cheryl" Flatware Set
Item Details
An S. Kirk & Son sterling silver flatware set in the Cheryl pattern. The set is marked ‘S. Kirk & Son Sterling’, and dates prior to 1979, when the company was bought by Steiff. The set is monogrammed with the letter ‘R’ to the handles, and is decorated with small forget-me-not flowers to the handles. The set includes eight salad forks, eight dinner forks, thirteen spoons, two iced tea spoons, two shell-shaped serving spoons, a small two-pronged serving fork, eight dinner knives with sterling handles and stainless steel blades, a pie/cake server, a butter spreader and master butter knife all with stainless blades and sterling silver handles. Also included with the flatware is a dark stained wood silverware storage box, which has the letter ‘R’ engraved on a metal tag affixed to the lid. Total approximate weight of the set, excluding items with stainless steel blades, is 39.49 ozt.
