Rare Antique "Regina" Double Comb Music Box and Several Record Tins

An antique Regina cherry double comb music box, circa 1900s. This 100% mechanical music machine features rare double combs. The movement is housed in a wood case with a lovely smooth patina and features a beautiful carved beaded wood to the top and a repeated circular pattern to the base molding. A hinged lid and latch open to reveal interior antique mechanisms. The crank handle attaches to the side of the player. The interior features an affixed Regina label that reads ‘Regina, First Music Box Manufactured in the United States.’ Music box includes eleven record tins and three vintage journals that highlight the features of this rare music box. An additional Regina music box is listed separately as item 16CIN592-038.
Condition
- in working condition. A small 2" section of wood beaded trim is unattached at the top and may be an easy repair. Light scuffs to wood, consistent with age and use.
