W.S. George "Derwood" China Set

Item Details

A set of china produced by W.S. George in the Derwood design. This large assortment includes a single platter, a single salad plate, and six soup bowls, eight bread and butter plates, two small serving bowls, twelve saucers, and ten teacups. These pieces are each off-white and have a light blue, angular design including scrolling gold tone foliage and pink roses, outlining the rims of the plates, cups and bowls. These pieces are marked ‘Derwood W.S. George’.

Condition

- many pieces have crackle glazing; platter has surface wear and stains, chips on edge; soup bowls show signs of wear, one is cracked, several are chipped; one salad plate has large crack.

- measured as a stacked group; platter (1) measures 11" W x 8.5" H; salad plate measures 7.5" in diameter; bread and butter plates (8) measures 6" in diameter; small serving bowls measure 5.5" in diameter.
