Original Maybelle Stamper Lithograph

An original lithograph by well listed artist Maybelle Richardson Stamper (1907 – 1995). This lithograph exists outside of an edition, but is pencil signed to the bottom right hand corner and titled at the left ‘Ballet Horse.’ This is a wonderfully whimsical image, typical of Stamper’s oeuvre. The sensibility presented here is mythical, and musical, eerily reminiscent of Marc Chagall. The print is presented in a simple wooden frame with a single mat to edge. The frame should definitely be replaced if this print is to be responsibly preserved.

Condition

The print is badly in need of a new frame.
