1931 Signed Rookwood Pottery Vase
Item Details
A 1931 Rookwood Pottery vase with shouldered form. The vase features a wonderful foliage pattern of muted rose and sage green over-glazes on a cream ground with brown accents. Marked to bottom with Rookwood trademark flame logo, roman numerals ‘XXXI’ and shape number ‘2720’. Signed in hand with initials ‘MHM’ for maker Margaret Helen McDonald (1893-1964), a Cincinnati native who worked as a decorator at Rookwood Pottery from 1913 to 1948.
