An original 2015 oil and acrylic painting on denim by contemporary Cincinnati artist and fashion designer Anthony Frommeyer, titled My Only Friend. This emotive work depicts a grueling presentation of aggressively applied color and texture. A subtly underlying grid brings structure to the chaotic symphony. The painting is signed and titled in ink to the verso. Frommeyer discovered art at the age of 15, after the tragic loss of his father in a car accident. He found solace in expressing his emotions and anxiety through the expressive use of color, stating that as he paints his soul feels no boundaries, allowing him to move from color to color with ease, eventually creating stunning, abstract works.
