Robert Bero "Torrent" Signed Limited Edition Aquatint Etching

A signed limited edition aquatint etching titled, Torrent, by American artist and printmaker, Robert Bero (1941-2007), who is best known for his etchings and detailed woodcuts featuring landscapes and various trees. Bero’s work has been exhibited at numerous esteemed institutions and museums including the Library of Congress and the Smithsonian. This unique etching depicts an abstract landscape featuring a small green field with several tiny trees throughout, which has a very dark, ominous sky above comprised of various thin black brushstrokes. This piece has been pencil signed by the artist in the lower right margin and is numbered 7 out of an edition of 50, which can be found in the lower left margin along with the title. The print has a single white mat and is housed behind glass in a simple metal frame with a wire for hanging to the verso.
