A signed limited edition plastograph/deep etching titled, Oyo Weavers (Orange Base) circa August of 1975, by Nigerian painter, printmaker, and sculptor, Bruce Onobrakpeya (b.1932), who is best known for his very unique, expressive artwork, in which he utilizes old African folklore, myths and legends to fuse them with his contemporary style. This very detailed etching depicts three abstract figures, two sitting and one standing, on some sort of bus or other type of transportation, with several poles throughout, which has a palette comprised of green, orange, brown, black, and white hues with a slight hint of blue. This piece is pencil signed and dated by the artist in the lower right margin and is numbered 4 out of an edition of 30 to the lower left, along with the title as well. The print has a single white mat and is housed behind plexiglass in a simple metal frame with a wire for hanging to the verso.
