Vintage Silvertone Tube Tabletop Radio Model 4769

Item Details

A vintage Silvertone tube tabletop radio model 4769, circa 1937, featuring a fabulous Art Deco style, two tone mahogany case with a curved side and wonderful detailing. Although presently inoperable, it was designed for broadcast, short wave and polices bands, with seven AM circuits. This model was distributed by Sears, Roebuck & Company and featured ‘automatic tuning’ with a round, rotary-style dial. Serial number 290546; the radio retains original stickers.

Condition

- currently inoperable. The speaker fabric appears to be in good condition with some small holes. Cabinet appears to have some white spots, possible mildew, with nicks and scrapes. Darker semi-circular water stain to top. Knobs are worn.
