A signed limited edition plastograph/deep etching titled, The Lord is My Shepherd (Blue Base) circa October of 1974, by Nigerian painter, printmaker, and sculptor, Bruce Onobrakpeya (b.1932), who is best known for his very unique, expressive artwork, in which he utilizes old African folklore, myths and legends to fuse them with his contemporary style. This abstract etching depicts a large grouping of figures all clustered together holding hands in darker toned shades of green, blue and black on a white background. This piece is pencil signed and dated by the artist in the lower right margin and is numbered 6 out of an edition of 30 to the lower left, along with the title as well. The print has a single white mat and is housed behind plexiglass in a simple metal frame with a wire for hanging to the verso.
