A color lithographic reproduction print after the original woodcut by English Art Nouveau artist Sir William Nicholson (1872-1949) titled December., one of twelve images he created for Rudyard Kipling’s book titled An Almanac of Twelve Sports, published in 1898. The image depicts a woman holding onto a dining room chair to support her balance on a frozen pond, while other more experienced ice-skaters glide along effortlessly in the near distance. The title is printed in bold letters to the lower margin. The print is mounted behind dark taupe mat, under non-glare glass in a black composite frame. - light discoloration across print. Frame is scratched in a few areas.
