A fantastic seven-piece dining set, the table designed by Gio Ponti, the chairs by Bertha Schaeffer, with a M. Singer & Sons label. The teak table features an expandable top with D-shaped ends above a curvilinear apron. It rises on six tapered legs, four of which end in brass-toned caps. The underside retains a label for ‘M. Singer & Sons / New York / Chicago’. Accompanying the table are six teak side chairs. They have curved crests terminating in angled supports over orange vinyl seats. The chairs rise on tapered legs. Included in this lot is four 14’ table leaves with a table pad.
