1937 Gibson EH-150 Lap Steel Guitar and Amp Set

A vintage, 1937 Gibson EH-150 six-string lap steel guitar in dark sunburst with tweed case and a matching tweed Gibson EH-150 amplifier. This pair was manufactured by Gibson from 1936-1942 and was originally an answer to popular Hawaiian guitars at the time. The guitar features the Gibson script logo and segmented diamond pearl inlays to the black headstock, a volume and tone knob, an early Charlie Christian-style bar pickup, a covered bridge, and screw-on back. The amp has rounded corners with a tweed cover and removable back, seven tubes including two 6L6 power tubes, 12’ field coil speaker, microphone and instrument channels with corresponding volume knobs, bass and treble control, and a power rating of 15 watts. Comes with original instruction manual, slides, and other guitar accessories. Serial number on the guitar is F832-2.
Condition
- per consignor, the amplifier was repaired at some point. Powered on but otherwise untested. Microphone channel pots may need to be cleaned. Guitar has very light wear around input jack but otherwise in very good condition. Leather to amp handle is cracked and separated in one place.
