1970s Stanzel "Electromic Star Bug" Flying Star Craft and Space Game

Item Details

An ‘Electromic’ Star Bug flying toy and game in its original box, produced by the Victor Stanzel Company circa 1978. A renaming of the 1967 Lunar Bug toy, this flying toy has a yellow horizontal rotor blade underneath the red flying saucer body, and is operated with a red control handle connected to the craft by a wire control line. The back of the box doubles as the board for the Star Landing Space Game, in which players use a hook on the Star Bug to move a space capsule between designated punch-out holes. The Star Bug takes two D batteries.

- wear to box; one leg broken off Star Bug; missing pickup hook and space capsule; untested.
