Peter Max Signed Offset Lithographic Poster of Dale Earnhardt's Race Car

A signed offset lithographic poster by psychedelic artist Peter Max (born 1937) of Nascar racer Dale Earnhardt’s iconic #3 car. This print depicts a warm sunrise to the right, shining on the image of Earnhardt’s car, which is poised on a classic black and white checkerboard surface. In ink, Max addressed the work to someone named Wayne, and dated it 2000. He also drew a self-portrait in the sun, next to a flying saucer in the print. Dale Earnhardt’s signature is printed in trippy colors to the upper portion of the poster, and there is a photograph of him as well as Richard Childress to lower left. The poster is mounted beneath vivid magenta and yellow matting and is presented behind glass in a beveled black frame with hanging wire present to verso.
