Pair of Power Loomed Persian and Central Asian Wool Rugs
Item Details
A pair of power loomed Persian and Central Asian wool rugs. The larger features a Bokhara style, with a lattice of Chemche-style Turkmen guls over the field, in mocha, pale orange, deep scarlet and indigo. It has a starburst pattern to the primary border, panels ends, and a long cotton warp fringe to each end. The smaller rug features a large central pendant medallion within a compound lozenge in pale blue and mushroom, with a lotus blossom border on bright white, all in similar color tones to the large rug. Both have overcast edges and natural warp fringe to either end. Unmarked.
