A pair of British history prints. The first piece is a colored engraving of a majestic warship at sea. It is a modern reproduction of an engraving of the H.M.S. Winchester that was dedicated to Edward Griffith Colploys, Vice Admiral of the White. The engraving notes ‘This plate … is respectfully dedicated by Captain C.J. Austen and the Officers of that Ship’. It is double matted in white cloth and set behind glass in a dark wooden frame. Hangs from a wire on the reverse. The second is an offset lithograph depicting a sprawling estate surrounded by rolling green hills. It is titled ‘Little Compton the Seat of Sr. Richard Howe Bar.’ Howe (1726-1799) was the Admiral of the Royal British Fleet during the American Revolution. The piece has a white and gold tone matting and is set behind glass in a black and gold tone trimmed wooden frame. Hangs from a rope on the reverse.

- Wear and scratches consistent with use; some creases to the architectural print matting
