Victorian Ladies' Secretary Desk

Item Details

An antique Victorian ladies’ secretary desk of stained pine. It has an architectural pediment with curved sides and applied dogwood flower carving at the crest. The pediment has a shelf with curved, pierced styles, set above the desk. The front is accented with an applied diamond inset, and folds down to reveal several small shelves and slots, with arch scalloped crest along the top. The drawer under the desk has a carved curled leaf pull. The piece sits on cabriole curve legs to the front and tapered legs with ring turn and ball feet to the back.
