A signed limited edition hand-pulled color lithograph by well-listed and historically notable American kinetic sculptor Alexander Calder (1898-1976), titled Phonograph, dated 1976. This non-representational work features Calder’s signature spiral patterns, with a large, bold spiral at center with primary color blocks, and three quickly rendered spirals on white at the bottom. Printed on mulberry paper. Signed ‘Calder’ within lower center spiral and numbered IX/XX within lower left spiral. Framed and float matted under glass with hanging wire to verso. Calder’s work is represented in the collections of numerous distinguished institutions, including the Art Institute of Chicago; Detroit Institute of Arts, Michigan; Guggenheim Museum, New York; Museum of Modern Art, New York; the National Gallery, Washington, D. C.; Kunstmuseum Basel, Switzerland; Museum of Contemporary Art, Barcelona; and Tate Gallery, London.
