A signed oil painting on canvas by listed American artist Beveridge Moore (1915-2004). This surrealist composition features two intertwined humanoid metamorphic figures floating against a brick wall. A green serpentine form on the right encases a human head with a dazed expression and human arms sprout from it. The serpentine form wraps around another humanoid figure portrayed in a reclining position. The reclining figure has its eyes closed, its arms raised upward, and its legs stretching to the lower right corner of the canvas. The painting is signed to the lower left and is presented in a wood frame with a linen mat and gold-tone fillet. Handwriting to the verso reads ‘Trauma’ and ‘NPC5.1994’.
