Pair of 1787 Copper Fugio Cents Encased in Clear Lucite

Item Details

A pair of 1787 copper Fugio cents with pointed rays and cinquefoils. The two coins are encased clear lucite blocks. Obverse design: Sundial and sun, ‘Mind Your Business’; Reverse design: Thirteen state chain links, ‘We Are One’. Both the ‘United States’ and ‘States United’ varieties are featured in this lot. One lucite block is inscribed with the name Edward D. Line and the date December 25, 1961.

Condition

One block is dated and bears an inscribed name. The resin is scratched and scuffed on both pieces. Coins surfaces appear to be cleaned.
