Item Details

A collection of vintage steel frame eyeglasses and other eyewear. One eyeglass case is marked ‘Doctor Hagler – The Hagler Building – Fourth & Capitol – Springfield, Illinois’. The other case contains a cloth from Frankfort, Kentucky. The frames of the two eyeglasses can be shaped to the head and ears. The pince-nez with the short chain and black accessory has a loose lens. The reverse of the round black item is marked ‘Ketcham – McDougal – New York’ and features a sharp silver tone pin. This would have held the pince-nez in place when removed from the nose. Another pince-nez is attached to a thin silver tone chain and a brass clasp.
