Jean Puiforcat French 950 Sterling Silver Oval Soup Spoon

An early 20th-century 950/1000 sterling silver oval soup place spoon attributed to Jean Puiforcat of Paris. To the verso of the spoon, there is a monogram reading ‘SL’ in Art Deco, overlapping letters. The bowl is marked with the sterling silver Minerva hallmark along with Emile Puiforcat’s ‘EP’ hallmark, which was used by grandson Jean Puiforcat from 1897 to 1945. The spoon weighs approximately 1.705 ozt.
