Antique 1880s Cast Iron School House Bell

An antique 1880s cast iron school or fire house bell. The large antique bell comes with an inverted U-shaped bracket mounted to the top, which is marked ‘No. 1 YOKE’, with the number ‘1’ in the center, just above the top of the bell. The bell retains its original clapper and arm. A length of rope would have been attached to the arm, allowing a user standing on the ground to pull it, causing the bell to ring.
