An original oil painting on wood panel by contemporary American artist, architect and professor T. Kelly Wilson (Columbus, Ohio; 20th/21st-century), titled Near the Jewish Ghetto I, completed in Rome, Italy, dated 1998. The sensual alla prima painting is rendered in thick, painterly, clean colors, depicting an abstracted, cropped view of sun-drenched stucco buildings and chimneys. This fine painting is presented in a beveled wood plein air frame with a bright gold leaf finish. The verso is marked by artist with title, location, media and signature. Wilson’s drawings and paintings are represented in the permanent collections of numerous prestigious institutions, including Harvard University, the Boston Public Library, The Rhode Island School of Design and the Ralph Lauren Collection.
