Haviland China "Tarascon" Pattern Dinner Service
Item Details
A set of Haviland china dinner service in the Tarascon pattern of blue forget-me-nots and gilt trim. The set of seventy-one pieces is incomplete, but does include eight complete place settings plus many additional pieces. Specifically, there are thirteen dinner plates, eight salad plates, sixteen bread and butter plates, eight soup bowls, and eleven cups with twelve saucers. In addition, there are three serving pieces: an oval platter, a cake plate and a vegetable bowl. The china pieces are marked ‘Haviland & Co. Limoges France’ to the underside, and some have additional red stamps of various importers or retailers.
Condition
- some pieces have signs of wear: a minor chip or loss of gilt.
