A late 19th century oil on canvas painting of the famed Cliff House and Seal Rocks of San Francisco, California by artist J.P. Frost. The painting depicts the white timbered historic Cliff House perched above the Seal Rocks in San Francisco Bay, with waves crashing upon the dark pointed boulders, a pebbled beach to the foreground and aqua blue sky with towering pink-tinged clouds to the background. The work is displayed in the original gessoed-bordered gilded frame. The painting is signed and dated to the lower left corner.

painting good, needs cleaned, frame poor with loss of gesso border
