G.W. Bohde Original Etching Depicting Rural Farm
Item Details
An original etching by G.W. Bohde depicting a rural farm. This piece, which is rendered with delicate, black hues, is weighted off-center with an impressionist tree. Bold’s composition becomes far looser on either side, with a light toned sky mirroring the foreground’s overexposed body of water. On the bottom corner is a small etched remark proof, which is assumed to be a second practice composition by the artist. It is mounted to a white mat and placed behind a gold tone, braided and acanthus scroll designed frame. The piece includes a wire ready for hanging.
