An Arklow Pottery Irish tea set. Founded in 1934, Arklow Pottery made fine china until it closed 1999. This twenty-three piece tea set features a teapot, cups and saucers and creamer and sugar bowl in a design of burgundy with gold tone floral motifs and gold tone trim and interiors (on cups and creamer and sugarer); the Arklow biscuit plates in this lot feature illustrations of birds, hunting scenes, and courtship scenes, bordered in different colors and featuring gold tone trim. The set contains: one teapot; six cups with saucers; one sugar bowl and creamer; and eight biscuit plates. All are marked ‘Arklow Pottery, Made in Republic of Ireland.’
