A first edition hardcover copy of Mark Twain’s The Tragedy of Pudd’nhead Wilson and the Comedy The Extraordinary Twins, published by American Publishing Company, Hartford, Connecticut 1894. It has a black leather spine and endcaps, with marbled boards and endpapers, cut pages, and gilt edges. The pages are illustrated in the margins, the title page has black and red lettering, and the photograph of Twain on a front endpaper has his facsimile signature underneath.
Condition
Rubbing to all edges and corners; loss of paper from rubbing on front and back board. It has a small previous owner stamp on free endpaper.
