An original acrylic on paper by Jovan Obican (French/Yugoslavian 1918-1986). Obican’s unique style is a whimsical combination of tradition, history and folklore. Birds are present in most of his works, representing love, peace, and liberty. The painting is signed by the artist, matted in white and framed in a red metal frame. A note from the artist affixed to the verso reads ‘An Original Painting by Obican, Dubrovnik 1979.’
