Vintage E. Grillot Beaded Evening Bag

A vintage E. Grillot beaded evening bag, circa the 1940s. This handbag was handmade in France and features intricate black and gold beading, embellished with oval cameos depicting hand-painted images of figural 18th Century scenes framed by faux pearls. It has a single strap with a gold tone frame that opens to reveal a black satin lining with a removable change purse and maker’s tag that reads ‘E. Grillot 10.Rue Cambon, Paris. Hand Made in France’. It is presented in a red Gucci dust bag.
