Vintage Porcelain Palmistry Model with Paper Guide

A vintage palmistry model with a paper guide. Included is a porcelain hand modeled after a 19th-century palmistry guide. The pseudoscience of palmistry concluded that a person’s character traits and future can be determined by the lines of the palm and fingers. Included with the hand is a small paper guide to palmistry titled What You Should Know About Palmistry by Leo Markum. This small booklet was found in the hollow the model. The lines of the hand are marked in a black colored script, with a thin blue line border at the base of the hand. No makers marks could be located.
