An original signed limited edition nude color etching on paper by well listed artist Barbara Kwasniewska (Polish, 1931-) . The Modernist etching, numbered 39 out of an edition of 75, depicts, in a colorist style, a seated female nude with long black hair, turned with her right side to the artist, with arms behind her back and legs bent. Her form is in the natural shade of the paper, with a pink background and red horizontal surface.
Barbara Kwasniewska lives and works in Paris, creating large carborundum etchings in the 1970s. She studied painting in Cracow, Poland, moved to Paris where she studied printmaking under Johnny Friedlaender. Her work is widely exhibited and collected known She is best known for her unique works of art, which often brings together various abstract shapes with bright pops of color and fun patterns.
