Item Details
An Avirex Limited type A-2 size large lambskin leather flight jacket. It features a dark chocolate brown shell with shoulder straps and a brown wool cloth waistband and cuffs. The jacket closes with a zipper along the mid-line. Pockets are located on the hips. The neck label reads, ‘Type A-2, Drawing No. 30-1415, Contract No. 1978-01, Avirex Limited, New York, New York, U.S. Army Air Forces’. The contract number notes that it was manufactured in 1978. It is a reproduction of a World War II-era flight jacket.
