Emily B. Waite Pink and White Peonies Oil on Canvas
Item Details
An oil on canvas depicting pink and white peonies by Emily Burling Waite (American, 1887 – 1980). The overblown blooms are rendered in muted tones and set against a background with partial aurora borealis type effect. The canvas is signed to the left ‘EMILY BURLING WAITE’ and is housed in a gold-tone beaded wood frame. Examples of similar backgrounds can be seen in 16BOS080-017 and 16BOS080-087.
