An original 1956 Verve edition colored lithograph by well listed artist Marc Chagall, titled Moses Receiving the Tablets of the Law, from Series for the Bible. This piece shows Moses to the lower left, receiving the Tablets from God, to the upper right. The piece is done in black on a blue background with white and yellow accents. This item is one of the 6500 unsigned copies issued. The lithograph is displayed under glass in a white matte and red tone wood frame. The piece is wired to the back. Marc Chagall (French-Russian, 1887-1985) was a Russian-French artist who over his long career worked in many different mediums and was associated with a variety of artistic movements. His works were notable for their use of Eastern European Jewish symbolism combined with a modern Expressionist style
