An unstretched oil on canvas portrait of a woman in a pink sweater by Emily Burling Waite (American, 1887 – 1980). The early canvas depicts a red-haired woman with a fashionable hairstyle of the first quarter of the 20th century ion a lush woodland setting as she confronts the viewer with her gaze. The canvas is signed on the verso ‘EB White’ in graphite.
