Item Details

A circa 1940’s vintage newspaper drafting table. The rectangular table has a top shelf with two spaces for inserts. The top shelf has two turned wood legs to each end, and two to the center. The top is constructed of several boards, and has a carved repeating ogee pattern to its edges. The apron has four shallow dovetailed drawers with keyholes surrounded by carved accents, and carved beveled handle pulls. The faces of the drawers have horizontal ribbed accents. The table stands on four straight, hexagonal paneled legs with turned ball and ring accents. The legs are supported by side stretchers, and a center bottom stretcher.
