A pair of vintage Imperial Jingdezhen porcelain painted collector plates painted by Zhao Huimin. These two decorative plates are part of a twelve plate set from the Beauties of the Red Mansion series, inspired by one of the Four Major Classical Novels. This pair includes the first plate in the series, plate #1 titled Pao-chai, designed in 1986. It is reported to be the first limited-edition collector’s plate produced in Jingdezhen, the ancient center of Chinese porcelain production. It includes original purchase documentation from The Bradford Exchange. This grouping also includes plate #5 from the series, Miao-Yu, produced in 1988. Both feature a Chinese notation on the front and the back. Plates are for decorative use only and includes black easels.
