Two John Wayne Effanbee Dolls

A collection of two vintage John Wayne dolls by The Effanbee Doll Corporation. Created as the second doll in their Legend Series, this first collector’s doll made in 1981 features a sculpted face, cream cowboy hat, peach scarf, brown vest and belt, white buttoned shirt over red long sleeves and cuffed tan pants. His tag says “John Wayne American Symbol of the West” and comes with a small Winchester rifle and a letter from Wayne Enterprises. A portion of the proceeds from this doll originally went to the John Wayne Cancer Research Fund. The second doll is a vintage Effanbee’s Legend Series 1982 John Wayne American “Guardian of the West.” John Wayne is here clothed in a U.S. calvary uniform, looking very American. Both dolls still have their original tags.
