Reginald Grooms Original Watercolor "Walking with Father"

An original watercolor painting on Arches paper by well-listed and influential Cincinnati-based artist and art educator Reginald “Reggie” Grooms (1900-1989), titled Walking with Father. Grooms is said to have painted everything from his imagination. This image depicts a peaceful, sublime scene of a father walking with his young son along sandy terrain near a wall of jagged rock formations with plant life growing throughout. Artist signature is signed in pencil to the lower right. The painting is mounted behind white mat, under glass in a beveled wood frame with navy blue and speckled gilt finish. A hanging wire is attached to the verso, as well as two identification gallery labels from Cincinnati Art Galleries.
