An original 1949 Cincinnati Mohawks ‘First Game’ hockey illustration. Framed in black wood, and matted, this illustration depicts the Cincinnati Gardens and the Mohawks. Illustration portrays the initial game against Indianapolis. Cincinnati artist Charles Sawyer Jr. created this mid-century piece of art, name in lower corner. There is a notation on the back that reads ‘1949 Oct. ’2 of 6 1st Game Of Mohawks Gift To Owners Of Club & Cinc Gardens.’
