A monumental Louis XVI trumeau frame. The white painted carved wood and plaster frame features a central upper musical trophy panel depicting various instruments with ribbon tied floral swags and is contained within a beaded border with rosette corner blocks. This panel is flanked by two similar ribbon tied floral garlands. The lower central panel, formerly fitted with a mirror, has an egg and dart moulding with beaded detail.
