Colt 1851 Navy Single-Action Revolver

A Colt 1851 Navy single-action muzzle-loading cap-and-ball revolver. It is marked with the serial number 48809 and has a patent date of Sept. 10th 1856. At the time of cataloging, the cylinder revolved when the hammer was pulled back, but the trigger did not drop the hammer. Actual firing condition was not tested. This piece is being sold as a historic collectible, not a functional firearm.
